“The Castle”, Capitol Reef National Park, Utah

Padró/Padró Images, All Rights Reserved Located in Southern Utah, Capitol Reef National Park preserves the 100-mile-long wrinkle of earth known as The Waterpocket Fold, and features classic Colorado Plateau scenery: eroded jumble of colorful cliffs, sinuous canyons, massive domes, sandstone spires, and graceful arches. One of the park’s most recognizable features is known as The Castle, conveniently located close to the visitors center. Eye level views of The Castle can also be had from the Freemont Gorge Overlook Trail. To geologists, The Castle is a great example of different layers of sandstone (like Wingate or Kayenta) stacked on top of each other. Summit County and the Lowepro Pro Trekker 300 AW

© Efraín M. Padró, All Rights Reserved I recently spent a week in Summit County, Colorado, photographing wildflowers and landscapes. I lived in Colorado for almost 20 years and like to visit regularly to shoot for stock. July is one of my favorite times to visit the High Country because the wildflower displays are at their peak and the daytime temperatures only reach the 70s. Summit County includes the towns of Breckenridge, Dillon, and Frisco, among others, and its accessibility (a little over an hour west of Denver) and number of trails makes it an ideal photo destination. The First Photographic Kiss

But despite how ordinary first kisses are, they are still new and fresh and exciting to those experiencing them. So it was that I recently had the opportunity to visit Paris, France, and there I photographed the Eiffel Tower (and Notre Dame, and the Louvre, and…) for the first time.
